Evia (Euboea), the second-largest island in Greece, is connected to the mainland at Chalkida and offers a striking variety of landscapes. From thermal springs and green mountains to exotic beaches, it is an ideal getaway close to Athens. It combines nature, history and relaxation.
Evia has been inhabited since antiquity, with important cities such as Chalkida and Eretria, which founded colonies across the Mediterranean. The tidal phenomenon of the Euripus, in the strait of Chalkida, puzzled even Aristotle. The island passed through Venetians and Ottomans, keeping a rich heritage.
Chalkida with its sliding Euripus bridge and waterfront is the gateway to the island. The thermal baths of Edipsos, picturesque Limni, mountainous Steni on Mount Dirfys and the mysterious “Dragon Houses” stand out. The exotic beaches of Karystos (Cavo Doro) and the lush gorges offer unique landscapes.
Evia’s cuisine is based on excellent olive oil, Karystos figs, meat and fresh fish. Try local cheeses, honey and traditional dishes in the village tavernas. The gastronomy combines island and mainland flavours.
Nightlife is concentrated in Chalkida, with bars and cafes along the waterfront, especially popular with Athenians at weekends. In the seaside resorts and in Karystos the atmosphere is more relaxed. There are options for every taste.

For your trip within Greece, a valid national ID card or passport is enough. If you travel by air, you need an official photo ID for the airport check. For minors travelling, please check any required documents in advance.
Changes and cancellations follow the terms of the airlines, hotels and suppliers booked for you, so the cost depends on how close to departure you are and on the fare rules of each booking. Tell us as early as possible and we will look for the least costly option. The general terms of participation apply to every booking.
