Arachova preserves a strong tradition in stock-farming, weaving and local products. Historically it is linked to the Battle of Arachova (1826) during the Greek War of Independence, an important Greek victory. The development of the Parnassus ski resort transformed it into a cosmopolitan resort.
The Parnassus ski resort, the largest in Greece, attracts skiers every winter. The picturesque clock tower at the top of the village offers a panoramic view, while the stone alleys and churches are charming. Nearby Delphi and the Corycian Cave complete the experience.
Arachova cuisine is famous for the local formaela cheese, grilled meats, hilopites and tsipouro. Try traditional dishes in tavernas with a fireplace and mountain views. The flavours are rich and ideal for cold winter evenings.
Arachova is famous for its lively nightlife, especially in winter. The bars and clubs in the alleys fill with people after skiing, creating a cosmopolitan apres-ski atmosphere. The fun lasts until morning, with a warm, festive mood.

Since this is a self-drive trip in your own car, there is no departure surcharge — you set off from wherever suits you.
For your trip within Greece, a valid national ID card or passport is enough. If you travel by air, you need an official photo ID for the airport check. For minors travelling, please check any required documents in advance.
Changes and cancellations follow the terms of the airlines, hotels and suppliers booked for you, so the cost depends on how close to departure you are and on the fare rules of each booking. Tell us as early as possible and we will look for the least costly option. The general terms of participation apply to every booking.
Travel insurance is not included in the price unless the "Included" list on this page says otherwise. We strongly recommend it, especially for trips outside the EU, so that medical care, cancellation and lost luggage are covered. We can arrange a policy for you — just ask when you book.
