The Amalfi Coast, in southern Italy, is one of the most spectacular coastlines in the world, with colourful villages clinging to sheer cliffs above the sea. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it combines glamour, romance and Mediterranean beauty. An ideal destination for couples and honeymoons.
Amalfi was a powerful maritime republic in the Middle Ages, a rival of Venice and Genoa. The wealth from trade shaped the architecture and character of the area. Positano and Ravello later became favourite destinations for artists, writers and the international elite.
Positano, with its pastel houses cascading down to the sea, is the iconic image. Amalfi with its impressive cathedral of Saint Andrew and Ravello with its panoramic villas and gardens stand out. A boat trip along the coast and nearby Capri complete the experience.
The cuisine of the area is based on fresh seafood, Sfusato lemons, mozzarella and tomatoes. Try spaghetti with clams, fried fish and the famous limoncello liqueur. Campanian gastronomy is among the most authentic and flavourful in Italy.
Nightlife is elegant and romantic, with cocktail bars and restaurants overlooking the sea in Positano and Amalfi. Evenings pass in a relaxed way with a drink by the water, while there are also a few glamorous clubs. The atmosphere is glamorous yet discreet.

For most European countries a valid national ID card or passport is enough. For countries outside the Schengen area a valid passport is recommended. Entry rules can change, so please confirm the current requirements with our office before you book.
The local currency is Euro. Cards are widely accepted in cities and hotels, but it is worth carrying some cash for small shops, markets and tips. Tell your bank you are travelling so your card is not blocked.
Changes and cancellations follow the terms of the airlines, hotels and suppliers booked for you, so the cost depends on how close to departure you are and on the fare rules of each booking. Tell us as early as possible and we will look for the least costly option. The general terms of participation apply to every booking.
Travel insurance is not included in the price unless the "Included" list on this page says otherwise. We strongly recommend it, especially for trips outside the EU, so that medical care, cancellation and lost luggage are covered. We can arrange a policy for you — just ask when you book.
Yes — this is an individual trip, not a group departure. There is no fixed itinerary and no coach schedule: you travel on your own, at your own pace. We can change the number of nights, the class of hotel, add or drop destinations and arrange transfers, car hire or private guides.
