The classic combination of atmospheric Havana and one of Cuba’s most renowned holiday resorts, ideal for discovering Hemingway’s favorite city, taking optional excursions, and then relaxing, swimming, and unwinding on the turquoise beaches of Cuba with an all-inclusive program and daily hotel entertainment.
Departure dates: Regular departures with a minimum participation of 2 people, until 31/10/2026
Departure from Athens via an intermediate stop and arrival in Havana, where our representative will welcome us. After the necessary formalities, transfer to our hotel, check-in, and free time.
After breakfast, a pleasant surprise will be waiting for us at the hotel entrance. We will begin our tour with a panoramic ride through modern Havana and the iconic Miramar suburb in vintage 1950s American cars. Before the revolution, Miramar was the aristocratic suburb of Havana and a place of residence for wealthy Cubans, as evidenced by its beautiful low-rise buildings and architecture. Today, the area, which retains its old charm in its entirety, hosts most embassies and the offices of large companies.
Crossing the central artery, the beautiful Fifth Avenue—which reminds one of New York—and passing by the area of the Havana cemetery with its grand architectural entrance that depicts the biblical composition of faith, hope, and charity in marble at its top, we will arrive at the historic Revolution Square. This is the place where Fidel, especially in the early years of the revolution, gave his hours-long speeches with a million Cubans cheering him on. There, you will find the José Martí Memorial, next to the so-called Palace of the Revolution, the seat of the government, and the buildings of the interior and communications ministries with the Che portrait composition. Crossing the Vedado area, we will see the historic University of Havana building and, via the coastal boulevard, the famous Malecón, ending up in Old Havana at the Capitol Square, where the building of the same name, with architecture similar to that of Washington, is located. Old Havana, designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage site, is a unique example of neo-colonial architecture, with its colorful buildings and its 4 + 1 iconic squares that we will get to know during our tour. We will visit the Cathedral Square, the Plaza de Armas, the Old Square (Plaza Vieja), the Plazuela Santo Domingo, and the Square of St. Francis of Assisi, where the Orthodox church of St. Nicholas is located and which we will visit, ending at the Templete monument. The next stop is the Havana Club Museum, where during the tour we will learn the history of sugarcane cultivation and the secrets of the production and aging of the national drink of the Caribbean, while at the end, we will have the opportunity to taste the famous Cuban rum. Then, we will visit the Scale Model of the Old Town, passing by Mercaderes Street, where we will see a panoramic view of Havana in miniature. Finally, your guide will show you around the famous pedestrian street, known for Ernest Hemingway, Calle Obispo, and the Hotel Ambos Mundos, located on the same street. Return to the hotel and free time.
A free day for your own exploration of the atmospheric city of Havana, with the charm of another era and the fragrance of the romantic 1960s.
Every step and every corner offers plenty of material for unique photos, bars with live music to enjoy its authentic cocktails, and dozens of small local shops for shopping. You can also make the most of your time by choosing some of the optional excursions offered.
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Varadero, crossing the northern coastline of the island. On the way, we will pass through the so-called intellectual city of Matanzas and see the outdated oil pumping rigs before arriving at our hotel in Varadero. Check-in and free time.
Days free on the “gold coast” of Cuba, a nickname given to it due to the fine golden sand of its beach. At the hotel, we can enjoy all the amenities of our All-Inclusive stay with a daily entertainment program, the deep blue sea, and the golden sand, to relax and rest.
Optionally, we suggest the one-day catamaran cruise to the nearby island of Cayo Blanco. A unique experience that includes a visit to an open-sea dolphinarium and swimming with trained dolphins, coral observation at a specific point on the route (necessary equipment provided), seafood lunch on the island, and drinks, music, dancing, and snacks on the boat.
Breakfast at the hotel, free time, and depending on the departure time, transfer to Havana airport for the return flight, with arrival the following day.
