Individual Trip: Buenos Aires, Iguazu Falls, 7 days

Day 1: Athens / Thessaloniki – Buenos Aires

Departure via an intermediate stop and arrival the following day in perhaps the most beautiful city in South America.

Day 2: Buenos Aires

Arrival and meeting with our English-speaking guide. To acclimatize, we begin our introduction to the city by heading to the Plaza de Mayo, where we will make our first stop.
Surrounding the square are several important landmarks, such as the Cabildo (the first government house), the Casa Rosada (where Evita spoke to the people of Argentina), and the Metropolitan Cathedral, where inside we find significant statues and paintings from the 18th century, as well as the remains of General José de San Martín, a hero of the revolution, placed in a mausoleum.
From the historic Plaza de Mayo, we will continue our tour, passing by the Obelisk (the city center) and the Argentine Congress, before reaching the Recoleta neighborhood to visit the city’s famous cemetery, filled with statues, and the mausoleum of Evita Perón.
We continue to the Palermo parks, passing by “La Flor,” the famous giant flower of Buenos Aires, and stopping at the famous Rosedal, a garden with over 8,000 roses.
From there, we will pass by the old aristocratic neighborhood of Buenos Aires, the well-known San Telmo, to reach the most famous area of the capital, La Boca, the renowned old port where the Tango was born. The La Boca area is one of the city’s most famous attractions, with its beautiful colorful houses and pedestrian streets like the Caminito, where tango dancers and other artists showcase their work on the street. It is also famous for its stadium, La Bombonera, home to the legendary Boca Juniors football team. We will conclude our tour through the Puerto Madero neighborhood, one of the most modern areas of the city. Optional lunch in Puerto Madero.

Time for rest, as in the evening we will have the unique experience of a show featuring music and a tango dance performance. The show consists of more than 30 artists on stage, including a live music band, singers, and professional dancers in an impressive production. It is a dynamic and intense performance that captivates the viewer in a very special setting. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.

Day 3: Buenos Aires

Breakfast and free time to discover on your own the 9th of July Avenue, the widest street in the city, with its stately buildings that will lead you to the Recoleta area, with its outdoor cafes and an aristocratic atmosphere that feels more like Paris than a South American city.
We also suggest an optional unique excursion to get to know the traditional lifestyle of the Argentine “cowboys,” the so-called Gauchos. We will visit the best ranch in the area, Santa Susana, and taste local specialties and the famous Argentine BBQ. Return to the hotel and the rest of the day is free.

Day 4: Buenos Aires

Breakfast and free time. We suggest a full-day excursion to Montevideo, this interesting and beautiful city with its European characteristics. Our tour today will reveal monuments such as the Cathedral, the Old Town Hall, the Solís Theatre, the Salvo Palace, and the Citadel. In the afternoon, we will return to Buenos Aires.

Day 5: Buenos Aires – Iguazu Falls

After breakfast, early morning transfer to the airport for our flight to Iguazu, Argentina. Upon arrival, we will head to the Argentine National Park to enjoy the spectacle of the falls from the Argentine perspective, where the “Devil’s Throat” is breathtaking, with the vortex of water plunging into the depths of the earth.
Inside the Park, we will see tropical animals and birds, as well as what was recorded as the 8th wonder of the world by the World Heritage Sites. For those who wish, there is the option to take a speedboat under the falls (optional) or cross the jungle in a 4×4 vehicle (optional). Transfer to the hotel.

Day 6: Iguazu Falls – Visit from the Argentine side

Breakfast and departure for the Brazilian side, where we will cross the border to visit the national park. This side gives us the opportunity to see the spectacle of the falls from the opposite side. You will also have the option to take a helicopter ride over the falls (optional).

Day 7: Iguazu Falls – Athens

Breakfast and transfer to the airport for our return flight, arriving the following day. For those who wish, you can continue your trip to stunning Patagonia or other parts of Latin America.
